WHO we are
Helping Hungry Kids of NoVa believes all students should be set up for success. Our mission is to ensure that food insecure elementary aged school children have meals and snacks to sustain them over the weekend.
During the 2025-2026 school year, HHK provided more than 22,000 weekend food bags for children at nine local elementary schools. Each bag contains 12-14 shelf-stable items that an elementary school student can prepare.
The weekend food bags help these students return to school on Monday healthy, nourished, and ready to learn.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization.

We also offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve:
